Vir Das writes an open letter

Mumbai, Apr 1 (IBNS) Adding a tinge of hilarity to this election season, Actor and stand-up comedian Vir Das has written an open letter to those not popularly known for their sense of humour - politicians Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, the general public, and many others.

The letter, not meant for the weak hearted, puts forth Vir Das’ uninhibited thoughts on the upcoming elections. The complete letter can be read on Vir Das' official Facebook page.

In this rib-tickling letter, Vir Das takes the opportunity to state that Narendra Modi, who scares the hell out of him, should have better microphones at his rallies. It will just help him get rid of all that yelling (Yes, the microphone dared to go dead, without notice).

Vir refrains from any allegiance to political parties, and in his own quirky way, addresses the other political leaders, too.

Even Arvind Kejriwal's pertually bad throat is not spared by Vir, who wishes him multiple Strepsils.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi's infamous first interview where he 'Frankly Spoke', Vir, the king of wit, with all his heart, hopes that Rahul Gandhi would stop going on television shows that he is completely and undoubtedly unprepared for. Vir goes on to add, "Comedy Nights with Kapil included".

Completely open to receiving comments from those who do not agree with his views, Vir just wishes they would use better grammar while calling him names.

The open letter establishes the vital truth, in Vir Das' unique style, that we have a choice to make, which should depend on who is the most deserving candidate for our nation, not someone who we blindly believe in.

Vir Das' slapstick, sarcastic and tongue-in-cheek humour make him one of the funniest men India has ever seen.

High on comic quotient, this open letter reiterates just that. Not one to mince words, Vir's letter mirrors the sentiments of a large section of Indians, with regards to the current political scenario.
