Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Friday advanced by nine paise to 73.79 in opening trade on the selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex market said.
The local unit gained owing to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid positive opening in the stock market, dealers said.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.82 and 73.76 respectively.
